William was born in Elmswell on 26th December 1905.
He was the son of Ernest Farrow (1875) and Alice Matten.

He married Martha O Rose in 1937.
Martha died in 1976 aged 70 and was buried at Elmswell, Following his death in 2000 William was buried with her.
